Official channels reviewed did not publish a Gloucester County 72-hour release feed. No separate three-day view, current Gloucester jail roster, booking archive, update cadence, or public retention window was verified. Salem County’s official corrections page also was not a rolling recent-release list. The absence of a feed should be stated plainly because presenting a current roster or an unofficial site as a substitute would misstate the local record system.
Gloucester County has not housed prisoners in a local residential jail since 2013. Its Classification Unit sends all Gloucester arrestees to Salem County Jail for admission, and some people move again after classification. The correct Gloucester County three-day method is therefore a date-bounded record check. It asks the actual holder to identify exits during the chosen span and classify each exit as a community release, transfer, court movement, or delivery to another authority.

- Start with Salem County Correctional Facility as the first admitting jail. Ask whether classification moved the person to another holder during the three-day period.
- Submit a date-bounded request to the jail custodian for the actual release or movement entry. Ask for the event date and time, legal basis, destination, and receiving agency.
- Request Gloucester-held classification, transport, or discharge records when they bear on the route. Ask the Gloucester custodian to identify another holder if needed.

OPRA exemptions can limit public access. Security, victim, juvenile, medical, criminal-investigatory, sealed, and expunged information may be restricted or redacted. A narrow request through the Gloucester County online records form can still ask for the releasable date, event type, facility, and destination fields. If the response says “transfer,” continue with the named receiving authority rather than closing the inquiry as a release.
Gloucester County Weekend Release Window
A 72-hour span can cover several adjoining days when a same-day check is too narrow. It does not create a special official weekend or holiday feed. A pretrial release means the person left jail while the case remained pending. It does not state that the case was dismissed. Time served ends the custodial part of a sentence but may not end all court terms. Parole is a conditional release from a state sentence under State Parole Board authority. Probation is a court supervision route and is not the same as parole.
Preserve Gloucester County Release Records
Gloucester’s jail closure created a multi-county data problem. There is no one Gloucester release roster to preserve a full chain. Save the movement entry from the holding jail, the matching Gloucester case event, the receiving agency when one is listed, and the time each source was checked. These records make it possible to distinguish two moves within a three-day span from one actual community release.
NJDOC’s online scope adds another reason to retain proof. The strongest historical proof is the affirmative record made by the custodian. If a record is denied because it is no longer held, request the applicable retention or disposition authority. If no web result appears, do not infer release. The person may fall outside the tool, may be recorded under another identifier, or may have moved to a different custody system.

Gloucester County Release Boundaries
A genuine release puts the person outside the custody described by that record. A transfer does not. Delivery from Salem to another county jail, NJDOC, a warrant-holding agency, federal custody, or immigration custody remains a custodial move. The destination field is therefore as important as the exit date in a 72-hour records check.
If the entry says release to the community, compare it with the court case and any supported supervision source. If it says transfer to NJDOC, use the state offender search and SBI number.
